• Coverage:

  • All indigenous, cross-bred, and exotic sheep and goats.

  • Death due to accidents (including fire, lightning, flood, cyclone, famine, earthquake, landslide, strike, riot) and diseases contracted or occurring during the insurance period.

• Exclusions:

  • Common exclusions: Malicious injury, neglect, overloading, unskillful treatment, accidents/diseases prior to commencement, intentional slaughter (except for humane reasons or by order), theft, war, nuclear perils, consequential loss, transport by air and sea, and diseases contracted within 15 days from the start of the policy.

  • Specific exclusions: Enterotoxaemia, Sheep Pox, Goat Pox, Rinderpest, FMD, Anthrax, H.S, B.Q. (covered if the animal is successfully inoculated with necessary veterinary certificates).

• Sum Insured:

  • Market value of the animal (examining veterinarian’s recommendation is considered).

  • Will not exceed 100% of market value.

• Claim Procedure:

  • Immediate intimation to the company in case of death.

  • Required documents: Completed claim form, death certificate from a veterinarian, post-mortem report (if required), ear tag (wherever applicable).
